16th Annual Reiki Jin Kei Do Residential Retreat – November 17-19, 2023

The 16th Annual Reiki Jin Kei Do Residential Retreat will be held November 17-19, at Mar-Lu-Ridge in Jefferson, Maryland.   Yes, this is a new location that is appreciably closer to DC/MD/NOVA.  The setting is wooded, easy to get to, nothing fancy, lovely to visit, and a pervasive sense of ahhhh.  Yep.  The sound of heartfelt energy.   The retreat theme is Renewal.   

A few details:

  • Location description:  This retreat center serves small groups such as ours.   Accommodations, retreat rooms, and dining area are collocated in one building, which we will have entirely to ourselves.  The surroundings are wooded and, if the weather is good, there is a large fire pit with seating for our Saturday evening gathering.   For those who like to walk, there’s a short hike (steep hill) to a pond or a longer hike thru the woods (or very short drive) to the chapel that overlooks three states with the Potomac River in view. All dietary needs can be accommodated.  Although the food selection will be smaller this year, on-line reviews are very positive. 
  • Accommodations:  Three bunk beds per room for a total of 16 rooms.  Couples will share a room; the rest of us will probably have roommates.   Each room has its own bathroom.  The step into the shower is about 10 inches high.  
  • Accessibility:  the conference rooms (two) are located upstairs (about 14 steps) as are some of the rooms.  The cafeteria and remaining rooms are downstairs. 
  • Cost:  $170 for both nights and six meals.
  • Payment:  If you plan on attending, please send your check for $170 (made out to Melanie Paris) to Melanie by June 30.  Her address is 15234 Louis Mill Road, Chantilly, VA 20151.
  • Cancellations:  If you cancel, your payment will be refunded, if we have at least ten people paid in full at the time of the retreat (that is the minimum number of people required by the retreat center) and you cancel before October 17, 2023.
