Life with Cancer is an organization that provides education and support to cancer patients and their families/friends, free of charge and regardless of where they are being treated. We are proud to report that we have had an active reiki program for the past 15 years. It is through the efforts of our volunteer Reiki practitioners that this program is possible. So many of our clients report the benefits receive through the free reiki treatments they receive at Life with Cancer.

We are now looking for additional practitioners to add to our volunteer list. Our Reiki appointments are held  at the Life with Cancer Family Center, 8411 Pennell Street, Fairfax Virginia (check us out at www.lifewithcancer.org).

We offer individual Reiki appointments to cancer patients, survivors and their family members on the2nd Monday and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 and 7:30pm. Each appointment lasts approximately 50 minute and 7 appointments are scheduled for each time slot.  That means that we need 7 Reiki practitioners each evening.

Requirements for volunteer Reiki practitioners:

Level III  or Masters certificate

TB test (no cost to you)

Annual flu shot (no cost to you)

Signed release for a background check (at no cost to you)
